A Bug's Life is a video game based on the Disney/Pixar film of the same name. It was released by THQ only on the Game Boy Color while the main console versions of the game is released by different videogame companies for various systems in 1998 and in 1999. The game's storyline is similar to that of the movie, with a few changes. It also has a password menu like most of the Game Boy Color games have to restart where they left off.

Gameplay[]

Based on the Disney/Pixar 3D animated film, you must guide Flik as he sets out to find a group of warrior insects to help his colony of ants to fight off the hungry grasshoppers.

Unlike the other versions of this game, the GBC version is a 2D side-scroller. You must guide Flik in finding parts for his inventions. Along the way, you must avoid other enemy insects, including the grasshoppers, or hit them with berries.

Reception[]

A Bug's Life was met with mixed reviews. Aggregating review website GameRankings gave the Game Boy Color version 36.63%. Sooner or later, IGN gave the Game Boy Color version a score of three out of ten, calling it "short and repetitive" and "below average".
